Webinar: Explore impact of climate change on credit unions

Credit union professionals can explore the impact of climate change on financial stability at an upcoming Filene Research Institute webinar.

Credit unions across the United States already have experienced the devastating impacts of climate-related disasters like hurricanes and wildfires and are often among the first to open their doors and provide financial support to their members — even when their own systems are impaired.

Filene and its research partner, Ceres, will identify a range of recommended actions credit unions can take to make climate change a strategic priority, deepen the understanding of the potential impacts from climate change and develop collective resources to measure, analyze, disclose and mitigate exposure.

The complimentary webinar, “The Changing Climate for Credit Unions,” will be held at noon on Thursday, July 28.
