Young credit union professionals and volunteers, it’s time to apply to “crash” the 2023 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.! Applications to attend the event are open until Dec. 2.
Crash the GAC is supported by the Cooperative Trust and Filene Research Institute and made possible by the support from CUNA and assistance from League partners. The Cooperative Trust is aiming to bring 50 crashers to this year’s conference — one from each state.
Crash the GAC and other “crash” events throughout the year are designed to spark new ways of thinking and build lasting relationships for emerging leaders and rising talent within the credit union industry. Crashers will leave the nation’s capital with a new hunger to help strengthen their communities and organizations. This highly competitive opportunity is a launching pad for many emerging professionals’ careers and gives them the confidence and insight to make a profound and lasting impact in the industry.
Crashers receive free conference registration from CUNA. Travel, lodging, and food costs are the responsibility of the crasher and their credit union.
The 2023 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 26 to March 2, 2023, and credit unions from every state — including New York — will have the opportunity to deliver their messages directly to policymakers, an immeasurably important step in the movement’s advocacy efforts. New York attendees can register and reserve lodging via the New York Credit Union Association’s room block on the Association’s website.
