Day 2 action at the Compliance & Legal Conference!

Day 2 at the New York Credit Union Association’s Compliance and Legal Conference at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona was filled with informative presentations and attendee interaction with speakers.

Dori Bailey of Bond, Schoeneck & King led off Day 2 with tips on Dealing with “contentious” examinations and “do’s and don’ts” from the frontline. Jeff Cardone, Partner at Luse Gorman, PC, shared everything credit unions need to know about the legal issues surrounding subordinated debt.

Trademarks, slogans, patents: A fascinating look at everything to know if your credit union is accused of infringement — and what to do NOT to be accused of infringement — was presented by Denis Sullivan, Partner at Barclay Damon LLP.

The conference came to an end with a compliance update from Genevieve Caputo, the Association’s director of compliance.
