First Heritage FCU approved for FOM expansion

First Heritage FCU, a $672 million-asset credit union located in Corning, was approved for a field of membership expansion to serve the rural district including the counties of Allegany, Chemung, Livingston, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga, Yates, in New York, and Bradford, Lycoming, Potter and Tioga counties in Pennsylvania, by the NCUA in September 2022.

Tom Pisano, president/CEO of First Heritage FCU and his team say they are looking forward to serving the many communities, consumers, and businesses throughout the new 11-county district. Prior to the charter expansion, First Heritage FCU served Steuben and Chemung counties in New York and Tioga County in Pennsylvania.

“We are a community partner that just happens to offer financial services,” said Pisano. “This expansion is an opportunity for First Heritage FCU to help more organizations, businesses, individuals, and families who reside in the rural district communities.”

The application for the rural district expansion was written by the New York Credit Union Association.
