2023 CUNA GAC: It’s a wrap!

The 2023 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C. wrapped up Wednesday with another day of visits by credit union advocates with New York state legislators.

The day began with early morning meetings with the Democratic Tri-Caucus and members of the House Financial Services Committee, and a meeting with GOP legislators. Credit union representatives and New York Credit Union Association staff also  met with several legislators and/or their staff during Wednesday’s hike, including:

  • Andrew Garbarino (R-NY-2);
  • Ritchie Torres (D-NY-15);
  • Yvette Clarke (D-NY-9)
  • Elaine Stefanik (R-NY-21);
  • Claudia Tenney (R-NY-8);
  • Hakeem Jefferies (D-NY-8);
  • Marcus Molinaro (R-NY-19);
  • Daniel Goldman (D-NY-10); and
  • Paul Tonko (D-NY-20).

The Association thanks the legislators for taking the time to hear from advocates about the credit union difference!

While many attendees departed Washington, D.C. Wednesday afternoon, some New York CUNA GAC registrants capped off the event in style by attending a roaring-20s closing party Wednesday evening.
