The National Credit Union Foundation released its 2022 Impact Report on Thursday, and stated that it helped credit unions “navigate the modern-day challenges of growing membership, managing risk, retaining talent and developing a mission-driven culture” in 2022.
The charitable arm of the U.S. credit union movement provided support through grant initiatives, education and events, resource development and disaster relief — with the goal of delivering on its mission “to serve as a catalyst to improve people’s lives through credit unions,” according to a National Credit Union Foundation statement.
The Impact Report provides detail of the organization’s activities, including its Development Education program that celebrated a 40-year milestone in 2022; the CU FinHealthTM financial well-being event; and how almost $600,000 of disaster relief supported over 1,000 credit union employees and volunteers through the CUAid program.
