People helping people: Long Island chapter makes $40k donation

A testament to the “people helping people” philosophy embraced by credit unions, the Long Island chapter of the New York Credit Union Association this week donated $40,000 to the Family and Children’s Association, located in Holbrook.

The funds were raised through the chapter’s 31st golf outing, held May 31 at Stonebridge Country Club in Smithtown.

The Association’s statewide chapter events provide opportunities to connect with credit union colleagues at events benefiting the community, and chapters play an important role in promoting cooperation among credit unions at the local level.

Additional chapter events are scheduled statewide in the coming weeks and can be viewed on the Association’s events calendar.
