American Banker recently honored 70 credit unions as the best credit unions to work for in the country. The honorees for this year’s Best Credit Unions to Work For demonstrated the importance of leadership, communication and career development.

Three New York Credit Unions received recognition on this list including: AmeriCU Credit Union, Northern Credit Union, and Empower FCU.

The ranking was determined through two surveys in conjunction with the Best Companies Group. The first was a survey completed by employees at the credit unions measuring employee satisfaction and covered topics such as pay and benefits, corporate culture and communication and work environment. The second survey examined the benefits and internal policies of each credit union.
