Mark Your Calendars: Habitat for Humanity’s Capitol Build Day 2024!
The Association is excited to return as the top sponsor for this year’s Habitat for Humanity Capitol Build Day in Albany on May 21! This event, a testament to community and collaboration, is your chance to help construct the walls of a future home for a deserving New York family.
Join our team, Habitat staff, volunteers, partner families, elected officials, and more, to make a statement on the grounds of the New York State Capitol. Full-day participation is not necessary, and no previous building experience is required!

As a testament to our strong advocacy presence, FOCUS NY, the “Future Of Credit Union Success,” is crucial for supporting political candidates who align with and promote the credit union mission of People Helping People. FOCUS NY plays a pivotal role in directing bipartisan support toward state office candidates who advocate for credit unions. These contributions are more than just donations; they are investments in the future of credit unions in New York, ensuring that our voice is heard and our interests are represented in state government.
This ambitious fundraising target for 2024 underlines NYCUA’s commitment to sustaining and enhancing the influence of credit unions in the political arena. Every contribution, big or small, helps solidify the position of credit unions as a formidable force in state legislative matters.
