Association staff testifies at state Senate committee hearing

17992309_10155219182694042_9131170598476196964_nNew York Credit Union Association General Counsel Henry Meier testified Thursday before the state Senate Committee on Consumer Protection. During his testimony, Meier called for stringent data security standards for all entities that collect or store personal or financial data.

He also pushed for a reimbursement provision that would allow financial institutions to recoup costs associated with data breaches at merchants.
