Former NCUA board Chairman Dennis Dollar will address New York attendees during the legislative briefing at the 2018 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference. The briefing will be held 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Dollar was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as chairman of the NCUA board of directors in 2001. He had served on the three-member board since being confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 1997. In his capacity as NCUA chairman, Dollar also served as vice chairman of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.

He now serves as principal partner at his credit union consulting agency, Dollar Associates, LLC.

The 2018 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 25-March 1 in Washington, D.C. The CUNA GAC is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational sessions, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.

New York attendees are reminded to complete and submit their Hill meeting request forms to help New York Credit Union Association staff secure meeting times with federal lawmakers. The forms are available on the Association’s website.
