The 2018 CUNA GAC general session kicks off today, and New York Credit Union Association President/CEO William J. Mellin and Association Board Chairwoman Marie Bettie, CEO of Western New York FCU, will carry the state’s flag during the opening ceremonies.

Following the opening ceremonies, CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle will take the stage to offer his opening remarks. Nussle’s speech will be streamed live on CUNA’s Facebook page.

Today’s general session will also feature a conversation with George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States, who will discuss the challenges facing the nation in the 21st century.
