United Nations FCU will host a complimentary event on credit union sustainability Oct. 18 in New York City. The event will explore how credit unions can use environmentally responsible practices to drive value, engagement, and organizational growth, as well as gain insight on impactful diversity & inclusion initiatives.

“United in Sustainability” will be held from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan. Attendees will be provided with UN Grounds Passes at the UN Visitors Entrance located at First Avenue and East 46th Street. The summit will be led by sustainability experts from the United Nations, UNFCU and the private sector. Topics include:
- reducing your carbon footprint with the aim of carbon neutrality;
- creating a sustainability plan with measurable benchmarks, targets and goals; and
- leveraging staff talent to build a successful movement.
The event will also offer interactive discussions, breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and insights from UN officers and the UN Global Compact on Sustainable Development.
Breakfast and lunch will be served, and seating is limited. A reception and an optional private tour of the UN are available for attendees following the event.
