New York credit union advocates are encouraged to register for the 2019 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, scheduled for March 10-14, in Washington, D.C.
Malcom Gladwell, author of five New York Times bestsellers and named one of the 100 most influential people by TIME magazine, will provide a keynote speech at the conference. Gladwell has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since 1996, and he has received national recognition for his ideas and writings.
As previously reported in The Point, former Secretary of State and U.S. Sen. John Kerry will also address attendees during the conference.
The CUNA GAC is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational sessions, the event will also include face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.
The conference will further include:
- networking with nationwide credit union leaders;
- breakout sessions that explore regulatory compliance and advocacy issues; and
- the financial industry’s largest exhibit hall.
