The 2019 State Governmental Affairs Conference is approaching and credit union advocates are encouraged to register for the annual event. The online registration deadline is this Friday, April 19.

The 2019 State GAC will be held April 29-30 at the Renaissance Albany Hotel in Albany. The conference provides attendees with opportunities to build relationships and discuss credit union issues with some of the most influential policymakers in state government. Additionally, State GAC features legislative and government updates, and both formal and informal meetings with lawmakers from throughout the state.

As previously reported, former New York Gov. George Pataki will address attendees at this year’s conference. Pataki has had a distinguished career in public service: He was elected mayor of Peekskill, served in both the state Assembly and Senate, and he was the 53rd governor of New York, serving three terms. During the conference, Pataki will share his extensive inside knowledge of state government with New York credit union advocates.
