EXCEL 19, New York Credit Union Association’s Annual Meeting & Convention kicks off next week, but individuals still have time to register for the New York credit union movement’s premier event.
EXCEL 19 features a wide range of learning, motivational and networking events for credit union professionals and volunteers of all ages. There are numerous fundraising opportunities to benefit a variety of important causes, including the New York Credit Union Foundation, political action, the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and more.
The event includes an exciting mix of educational and inspirational speakers, including:
Dr. Kevin Elko – Dr. Elko has worked with some of the biggest names in sports and business. He has consulted with various successful NFL teams, and worked with seven BCS National Championship football teams. In this session, Dr. Elko will teach attendees how to be mentally tough when times call for it, and how to stay determined and focused on the things that are truly important.
Jason Dorsey – Dorsey wrote his first bestselling book at just 18 years old. He has been featured on over 200 TV shows, including 60 Minutes, 20/20, The Today Show, and more. EXCEL 19 attendees will leave this session with specific actions that will drive key outcomes such as communication, trust, innovation, recruiting, retention and more.
Brett Culp – Culp is an acclaimed filmmaker and social entrepreneur whose work has inspired audiences around the world. With his uplifting documentary film “Legends of the Knight,” Culp pioneered a ground-breaking approach to community building and relationship-driven engagement. Culp’s message impacts audiences on a personal level, motivating them to find the best within themselves and bring it to their world.
Brent Dixon – Dixon is an interdisciplinary designer, facilitator and strategist whose work represents a lifetime commitment to nurturing collaboration and inclusion toward economic, social and ecological sustainability. Dixon founded the Cooperative Trust, a development community for young credit union professionals. The Cooperative Trust received a 2017 Herb Wegner Award for its role in supporting the future of the credit union movement. Attendees will walk away from his presentation understanding how the core credit union mission connects to modern realities, and how to prepare for what’s next.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in the CUNA Mutual Group Golf Tournament to benefit the New York Credit Union Foundation, as well as many other networking activities.
EXCEL 19 will be held June 13-16 at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George in Bolton Landing.
