Young credit union professionals and volunteers are encouraged to register for the New York Credit Union Association’s Young Professionals Conference on July 17-18 at the Brook-Lea Country Club in Rochester. The conference is in conjunction with the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic.
The first day of the event will feature the following insightful speakers:
- Mike Vadala, president/CEO of the Summit FCU and chairman of the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic;
- Richard Sellwood, VP of member services at Reliant Community FCU and former chairman of the Association’s Young Professionals Commission; and
- Alvin Cowans, CEO of McCoy FCU in Orlando, Florida.
The second day will feature discussions on the financials and the business of credit unions led by Grace Gonzalez of the Bonadio Group.
Additionally, Bill Cheney, president/CEO of SchoolsFirst FCU in California, will share his story and career path, including his time as president/CEO of CUNA.
The event will also include a lunch with New York credit union executives, who will be available for questions and general conversation with attendees.
The conference will conclude with a Credit Union Night at the Strathallan Hotel in Rochester.
