Reminder: CUNA GAC attendees encouraged to submit Hill meeting request forms

With 2020 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference fast approaching, New York credit union advocate attendees are strongly encouraged to submit their Hill Meeting Request forms to help New York Credit Union Association staff secure meeting times with federal lawmakers.

Meetings are being scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26, approximately 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and each meeting should last approximately 15 minutes.

The 2020 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 23–27, in Washington, D.C., and is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational sessions, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.

As previously reported, Nikki Haley, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and former governor of South Carolina, will provide a keynote speech at the conference. Best-selling author Marcus Buckingham, will also present a keynote speech, as previously reported. Buckingham is a respected advisor to employers in a range of fields who encourages focusing on employees’ strengths instead of trying to improve their weaknesses,
