Among the many efforts to assist credit unions and the members they serve, the New York Credit Union Association provides its members access to a variety of high-quality and affordable services by partnering with organizations that can provide unique products and services to credit unions at preferred prices.
Credit unions can be confident that all of the Association’s strategic partners have been thoroughly vetted and are in good standing with the Association. Each of the Association’s strategic partners combines quality offerings with a deep knowledge of the credit union industry, enabling credit unions to better serve their members and achieve their mission.
Credit Union Student Choice
Credit Union Student Choice is a credit union service organization that connects students with private education loans. Loan solutions are offered through participating credit unions throughout New York as well as the United States and offer preferred rates, an innovative line of credit structure and flexible repayment terms.
Credit Union Student Choice positions credit unions as leaders in education financing by redefining value for student borrowers and helping credit unions connect with young adults. The network enables credit unions of all asset sizes and fields of membership to make private student loans that may be held on their own balance sheet, thereby allowing them to recognize the long‐term economic return of the loan relationship. With Credit Union Student Choice’s turnkey solution, credit unions can grow and diversify their loan portfolios, build lifelong relationships with young adults and achieve optimum portfolio performance.
The CUSO was established in 2008, when a group of credit unions and organizations examined student lending in America and decided to work together to provide better solutions to help students and families pay for college than what was currently available.
In addition to student loans for credit union members, Credit Union Student Choice also offers free webinars to help credit unions develop their student loan portfolios and build relationships with their members.
