Recognition Roundup: Two CNY CU leaders recognized

Two New York credit union leaders have been recognized for their commitment to the workplace and community.

Augustin Melendez, vice chair of The Summit FCU’s Board of Directors, was named to the Rochester Business Journal’s list of 2020 ICON honorees. The 25 honorees included on the list are over the age of 60 and demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the Rochester business community and significant professional accomplishments through innovation and leadership. The honorees will be recognized in a virtual event on Dec. 7.

The Central New York Business Journal named Christina Sauve, CEO of Cooperative Federal CU (Syracuse), to its 40 Under Forty list, which recognizes individuals under the age of 40 who have excelled in the workplace and community. The honorees will be recognized in a virtual event on Nov. 4.
