CUNA has announced that former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel will be keynote speakers at the at the 2021 CUNA GAC, which will be held on a virtual platform March 2-4.
Christie and Emanuel will discuss issues that may impact the credit union system in the coming years in a point/counterpoint discussion tackling some of the issues driving Washington, D.C. and how those issues are likely to affect the communities and people credit unions serve. The keynote with Christie and Emanuel is sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group.
Other 2021 CUNA GAC speakers announced include author Kevin Carroll and Scott Gottlieb, M.D. and documentarian, journalist, speaker, author and philanthropist Soledad O’Brien, with Antonio Neves returning as emcee, as previously reported.
The CUNA GAC event is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates to launch the credit union advocacy agenda. In addition to the keynote and educational sessions, the event also includes virtual face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.
