Hello June! June provides a multitude of learning opportunities and exclusive New York Credit Union Association events available to credit union professionals and volunteers, with the Association’s premier event, the 2021 Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony, on June 24.

2021 Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony
The Association’s Board of Directors and senior leadership will meet for the Association’s 2021 Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony on June 24, from 3 to 5 p.m., and culminate with a sweet ending featuring a chocolate tasting and wine pairing networking event. CECL Transition for NYCUA Members

Tactical Health: The Future of Health Insurance Benefits Financing, Reducing Costs and Preserving Benefits
Credit unions with more than 100 employees can learn about the future of health insurance benefits and what it could mean for their credit union in a complimentary webinar at 10 a.m. on June 10. The webinar, a benefit of Association membership, will be led by Matthew Tedeschi and Kurt Jaeger of Jaeger and Flynn Associates. Clean Energy Financing for Community and Regional Financial Institutions
Association members are invited to a complimentary webinar at 10 a.m. on June 10 on clean energy financing opportunities that are available to credit unions in the state, presented by the New York State Department of Financial Services. To register, visit the Association’s website.

Six Crucial Characteristics of Aspiring Leaders
A virtual session, “Six Crucial Characteristics of Aspiring Leaders,” is aimed at young professionals aged 39 and under interested in pursuing leadership roles at their credit unions, as well as credit union professionals interested in leadership topics. Northeast Credit Union Volunteers Education Collaboration Webinar
The Association is joining with other leagues from the Northeast region to present a timely and informative discussion designed specifically for credit union volunteers at 5 p.m. on June 29. “The Way Forward: Post-Pandemic Strategies for Your Credit Union,” led by credit union consultant Ancin Cooley, is being offered complimentary to credit unions as a benefit of membership in the Association.
