Would your credit union like to help make the dreams of higher education a reality for young members? Through the Association’s College Scholarship Program, your credit union can do just that!

Registration is now open for the New York Credit Union Association’s 2022 College Scholarship Program, and with just one application, college-bound members are able to easily apply for up to three scholarships:

• the Association’s Statewide College Scholarship Program;
• your credit union’s scholarship (if you choose to offer one); and
• your chapter scholarship (based on chapter participation).

Again this year, the student application process will be entirely online. And new for 2022, each credit union coordinator will have access to view all of their credit union’s applicants’ submissions online. 

The best part? The Association will do the heavy lifting for your credit union. Once you’ve signed up to participate, all you have to do is promote the Scholarship Program to members. And if your credit union prefers, the Association will also administer your credit union’s own scholarship program.

In 2021, thanks to 67 credit unions and eight chapters, the Association awarded $30,750 in college scholarships to 41 bright, hardworking young credit union members with scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,500.
