We got back in the New York groove! EXCEL 22, the New York Credit Union Association’s Annual Meeting and Convention, brought together hundreds of credit union leaders, volunteers and industry professionals for four days of learning, inspiration, networking, relaxation and more June 16-19 at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George.
The CUNA Mutual Golf Tournament raised $25,000 for the New York Credit Union Foundation, while the chair testimonial honoring past board chair Ann Hynes raised $20,000, which is being donated to the Ukrainian Credit Union Displacement Fund.
The packed event also included the popular Silent Auction — which raised $14,000 for the New York Credit Union Foundation — the Wine Pull — which raised $10,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network — multiple Learning Labs, the Saturday evening gala, and a trivia night hosted by the Young Professionals Commission. Recognition Award recipients from 2020 through 2022 were honored, and attendees also had the option to take a boat cruise on Lake George, watch a culinary demonstration and attend the Association’s first-ever paint and sip event.
EXCEL 22 attendees heard from dynamic speakers including Paul Dionne, Filene Research Institute’s Research Director, who discussed themes relevant to credit unions, Kenyon Salo one of the top trainers, facilitators and keynote speakers in the fields of adventure, leadership, team building, sales, customer service and inspiration/motivation (who spoke from the top of a ladder); Shannon Huffman Polson, U.S. Army Apache helicopter captain, author and business consultant; and Tiki Barber, former New York Giants running back, author, TV correspondent and entrepreneur.
The Association thanks CUNA Mutual Group, Title Sponsor of the event, in addition to all of the sponsors who made the event possible.
