The New York Credit Union Association is encouraging all New York credit union advocates to continue urging the governor to sign legislation that would allow credit unions to participate in the Banking Development District Program. With the year winding down, the timeline for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to act on the legislation is getting slimmer and slimmer.

NCUA Chairman Hood to testify before Senate, House banking committees

NCUA Board Chairman Rodney Hood will testify before the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs on Thursday, Dec. 5. Hood will be joined by Randal Quarles, vice chairman for supervision of the Federal Reserve System’s board of governors, and Jelena McWilliams, chairwoman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
