Eligible credit unions can now apply for the Small Credit Union CUNA GAC Scholarship Contest, sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group. Through the program, two credit unions will win full scholarships to cover registration, airfare and lodging accommodations at the 2020 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.

Association, state leagues pen joint-letter on CECL concerns

The New York Credit Union Association — along with the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, the Heartland Credit Union Association and the Carolinas Credit Union League — penned a joint-letter to congressional leaders outlining concerns with the Current Expected Credit Losses accounting standard.

Final push for BDD legislation as year winds down

The New York Credit Union Association is encouraging all New York credit union advocates to continue urging the governor to sign legislation that would allow credit unions to participate in the Banking Development District Program. With the year winding down, the timeline for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to act on the legislation is getting slimmer and slimmer.
