Guide aims to help credit unions provide consistent, unified messaging

Credit unions can find out about ways to provide consistent and unified messaging for consumers, as part of the Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union® campaign, in a messaging guide.   

“By aligning what we say and how we say it, we can simplify our messaging and make credit unions more accessible for consumers,” the messaging guide states. “This will drive consideration and engagement for current and potential members.”

The goal of the Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union® campaign is to raise consumer consideration of credit unions and overcome industry myths by raising the profile of credit unions in a competitive financial services marketplace, and keeping credit unions top-of-mind.

The initiative, part of the CUNA-led credit union awareness effort, first launched in January 2019 and currently, credit unions in 24 states are participating. The program is expected to add six more states in early 2021, including New York.
