ESL FCU’s foundation, the ESL Charitable Foundation, is providing an innovative $5 million grant to United Way of Greater Rochester to support community members in addressing barriers related to poverty and improving quality of life. This new Innovation Grant will offer immediate, direct, consumer-driven interventions and support that will be implemented now through the end of July 2020.

The New York Credit Union Association’s Young Professionals Commission is hosting a volunteer meet-up Wednesday, Oct. 30, in Rochester to benefit the Center for Disability Rights’ Accessible Trick-or Treat event. The event is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to combine networking and volunteering while raising credit union awareness throughout New York.

The National Credit Union Foundation is seeking nominations for seats on its board of directors. Volunteers can generally serve up to three terms of the duration of the term of office for the seat they are selected to serve in, as long as they are re-nominated by the National Foundation’s Nominations Committee and re-elected by the board.
